Inkling first began working with the company's IT Department to help filter new ideas. Ideas were initially created in a discussion forum then moved to Inkling once they were fully "baked." In the marketplace employees would trade on metrics related to the future success of the idea. Client ran the marketplace as a competition every 3 months. Currently use of the marketplace has expanded to other parts of the organization where questions are being asked about sales metrics.
